In the early 60’s our area supported various half mile flat track races and Dennis, Pap, and Nana could always be found in the stands. If you were into motorcycling in those days, motorcycle races were an important event you did not miss. Dennis’s love of racing began then. One would also find him riding his 1966 XL in field meets competitively: drag racing, jumping, and whatever skill was necessary to win the event. Dennis never raced professionally but when Billy Schaeffer of Pine Grove, National, number 96, asked for support, here was Dennis’s chance to do the next best thing. Dennis’s support of racing grew from there. What better way to introduce young people into the support then to get them racing! Dennis enjoys supporting all types of racing.
Race Day is Dennis’s event. It his way of promoting the sport of motorcycling.

Event: Rockingham, NC
Rockingham, NC was the last race of the 2011 AHDRA season. It was a gorgeous weekend for racing, unfortunately I was feeling a bit under the weather and couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Erika drove most of the way down from PA, and after a late arrival, we got a few hours rest on Friday night before qualifying started on Saturday. I qualified number one in Hot Street and Street Pro, and even with a first round air shifter failure and a third round “rider malfunction”, we still managed a number six spot on the DWR Pro Modified entry. Elimination day came and I still didn’t feel well, but as they say... the show must go on. Once again, I made it to all three final rounds, winning Hot Street and Street Pro, but unfortunately red-lit in Pro Mod. This concludes my 2011 season, and what a season it was....
Three National Championships with 19 wins in 24 final round appearances.
Brad had a very good outing as well, going deep into the elimination rounds in three of four classes, finishing with a runner-up in Super Sport, a semi-final in Super Eliminator and a quarter final in SEP. He ended the year as the Champion in the SEP 11.50 index class, reclaiming his #1 plate from 2009. He also was the runner-up in the SS championship chase, and claimed the #4 plate in SE.
