"As first-time biker at age 62, with a recently repaired torn rotator cuff, I was overwhelmed by the help and support I received at the family business known as Schaeffer's Harley Davidson. The fact that my sons ride Harleys plus having a grandson stricken with Musclual Dystrophy, is what brought me to Schaffer's. It was there that I bought the only bike that I felt both safe sitting on and could lift off the stand with my good arm.
It was a 1987 FLHTC with a rebuilt engine, super paint job, and a yard and a half of Chrome with a look that just steals your sole. I purchased it not knowing if I could ever ride it, in April , and by the end of June had successfully taken the PAMSP program at Penn State - Schuylkill Haven and have logged about 30 hours of actual seat time on my own Harley. I must confess, a lot of this time was spent in parking lots and at the Frackville Mall getting over the initial fear of 2 whells and about 840 pounds of motorcycle.
The bike was starting to show its age on the controls but I was able to pick up all new switches for both sides of the handle bars, including the remote radio controls as well. The one problem still affecting me is an ignition that will not lock and they are going to take care of that for me. I am in my glory and waiting for the rain to stop so I can get more seat time on my Harley.
I want to thank Dennis and Carol Schaeffer, my two salesman Sven and Chris, deal maker Melanie, and a special thanks to Cherie for hooking me up with all the materials I need to start a Muscular Dystrophy campaign for fund raising.

In particular, a sales lady by the name of Cindy.
Via telephone, she placed an item on layaway for me, even
though I've never been in your place before.
I picked up that jacket along with several other items and
was very impressed by a courteous, friendly, and helpful
staff.
While browsing the whole facility, I repeatedly encountered
staff who were friendly, and willing to answer any questions
I had.
Peering into the service shop, I noticed well kept work
areas and staff working even on the day after Thanksgiving.
After this experience, I realized the mistake of not
purchasing my first Harley here.
I won't make that mistake again !!
Great people and I'm sure the service my bike will receive,
will be every bit as good.

I rented from you a couple years ago for a MDA run. That is when I last visited your great shop and peopleforce.
I just had a ride w. Jon Burcaw, my earlier contact for you, my fellow church member, and brother to man whom married my wife and I.
I just wanted to thank you for your support of Jon and his family. He is everything that he represents himself to be and probably more. Letting him enjoy a Harley etc from you is so generous and he thoroughly enjoys it.(if you have more that need miles, let me know!)
